Our solutions are always better when ideas come from a variety of places, especially in software development. I firmly believe working across disciplines and partnering with stakeholders across organizations yields the best results.

Flexibility

Situations and conditions change. Issues and challenges arise. Teams must be ready to pivot and adapt based on shifting conditions. I rarely give up because I’m constantly evaluating how my team and I can move in different directions, as needed.

Openness

In order to learn and grow, one must be open to seeing the world from different perspectives. There are a thousand ways to solve a problem, especially in design. I approach work (and life) with a “don’t know” mindset which helps keep me grounded and open to other ways of working.

Growth Mindset

The best lessons in my career (and in life) have come from my ability to see growth and opportunity in situations in order to adapt and learn. This also holds true with design – there are always ways to improve and iterate to a better solution.
